Help not working in Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0

Recent times, I saw many discussions on User-Forums about Help not working in Photoshop Elements 9.0 and here is one of the workaround worked for most of them. So I though of keeping it at one place and share with other folks who encounter the same problem in future.

Here are the steps to follow:

a) Browse to “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Help”
b) Double Click on “Adobe Help.exe” (BLUE ICON with an “I” on it)
c) Go to Edit > Preferences (refer to screenshot)

  1. I have this same problem -- help files in PSE 9 don't work. I tried the above solution, but double clicking on the Help file didn't do anything -- I never saw the Adobe Community Help screen that is shown in the example above.
