On Mac version of Organizer in Adobe Photoshop Elements, there is no way to automatically import photographs on attaching a device, Camera or Card-Reader. Many times I have heard people saying that they want to download their photos directly into my organizer but instead iPhoto opens up and downloads them there ! Then they have to go to Organizer and import through File Menu option.
As mentioned earlier, there is no way to automatically import photographs into Elements Organizer 9.0. But there is a way out to stop auto-import into iPHOTO to avoid unnecessary confusion. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Go into the iPHOTO preferences
2. Choose Connecting Camera Opens > No Application.
Now when we will connect any camera/card to the MAC, it will mount as a drive on the desktop. From organizer, launch the Downloader by choosing file>get photos>from Camera or Card Reader.
