For Crash problem for Organizer :

A. Launch the catalog manager dialog box before launching organizer.

For this follow the steps-

1. Click on 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 10.0' icon on desktop.

2. Hold the 'shift' key from your keyboard and click on 'organizer' tab in welcome screen.

3. Catalog manager dialog box will be launched. Create a new catalog. Probably Organizer will be launched.

4. If so, click 'catalog' under 'file menu' Select your catalog (with which organizer was crashing) and click on 'repair' button. Click on 're index visual similarity data' and click on 'ok' button. After this click on 'optimize' button.

5. Select the catalog and click on 'open' button.

B. If crash continues then you have to create a new catalog.

For Crash problem for Editor: 

 Delete Preferences: Try to launch Editor and keep pressing - ‘Ctrl+Alt+Shift’. It will show an option to delete preferences and then try to relaunch again.

1.  Go to  <root>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Elements Oganizer/9.0/Organizer.

2. Locate contacts.xml file present at mentioned location.

3. Rename this contact.xml.

4. Relaunch the Organizer after renaming this file.

PSE-Organizer hangs on on clicking 'Browse' button in APD (Adobe Photo Downloader) || MAC

With recent update of Adobe Camera Raw, some of the folks are facing a problem on MAC machines having 9th version of Adobe Photoshop Elements. It happens with folks, who use Adobe Photo Downloader to download and import files into Elements Organizer. This is happening with people who have updated to Adobe Camera Raw 6.5. Adobe Photoshop Elements on LION

Did you use your Adobe Photoshop Elements Version on LION? I used my 9th version on LION and so far it's doing good and haven't seen any issue. 

I thought of starting this so that folks can share theoir experiences with other versions as well.


As of now, I heard one issue due to which Photoshop Elements crashes on quit. I read more about this problem on web and found that issue is seen on machines which have OnONE installed and OnONE is working to resolve this. Adobe Photoshop Elements crashes when sharing a Photomail - How to resolve?

Recently I saw  few people facing this problem and here is one of the workaround which worked most of the times. Please try and comment back in case it doesn't work for you :

a) Browse to the directory where you have installed Photoshop Elements 9.

For e.g. if you have installed PSE on C: , then browse to “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements 9 Organizer\”.

b) Select and Right Click on “PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe” .

c) Select properties and the “Compatibility” tab and select checkbox “Run this program in compatibility mode” .

d) From the drop down items, select “Windows XP”.

e) Click OK and launch Elements Organizer  9

f) Complete the Photomail workflow once. (There might be a slight performance issue but we would suggest you to complete the process.)

g) Exit Elements Organizer 9

h) Repeat the first 2 steps.

i) De-select the compatibility checkbox marked in Step 3.

j) Re-launch elements organizer 9 and complete the Photomail workflow.
