At times, we have seen folks on forums discussing about the generic issues that they fail to launch Welcome Screen, Organizer or Editor of Adobe Photoshop Elements. Many times, insufficient details could not reach to final resolution of the problem but there is a very generic thing which can be checked and resolved.
Sometime processes keep running in the background even when you have closed the application, which may cause the problem that you are continuously clicking the icon/buttons to launch Welcome Screen, Organizer or Editor of Adobe Photoshop Elements. Since it's actually running in the background, we think that software(Adobe Photoshop Elements) has stopped working for us. Please have a llok at Task Manager to have an idea that how running processes look in Windows Task-Manager -
The highlisghted regions in Task-Manager shows three processes of Adobe Photoshop Elements -
PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe - Adobe Photoshop Elements Organizer
PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe - Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor
Photoshop Elements 10.0.exe - Adobe Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen
You will see these processes running, when you are using any of these applications of Adobe Photoshop Elements. In some of the odd cases, you may even see them when nothing is shown to you on screen. That is something unusual, which may happen in some of the rare and unknown scenarios. If you ever see such thing, please follow below mentioned steps to resolve it.
How to Solve -
1. Launch Windows Task Manager by right clicking on Windows-bar in the bottom and select 'Task Manager'.
2. It will launch the same window, which you see above.
3. In Task Manager, locate the process or exe which is giving you trouble.
4. Select it and button 'End Process' will be enabled.
5. Click on 'End Process' and it will show 'Task Manager Warning' dialog. Read the warning carefully and take appropriate action.
If you click OK, you are done and can relaunch Adobe Photoshop Elements on your computer. We know this is very generic thing and at times, may not work for you.
